For Sanitation, added attention was given in designing the food zone, making the machine easier to clean, reducing operating costs, and extending operating life. Evaporator side and back are now shielded from the food zone, reducing the number of surfaces that require cleaning. AlphaSan® is molded into select plastic components to reduce slime buildup.

For Savings, the compressor has been designed to work in tandem with each evaporator size, cutting ice harvest time in half, reducing energy use up to 25% compared to competitive ice machines.

To reduce Sound, the compressor is mounted on its own raised platform, isolating any associated vibration. Also, falling ice noise is reduced by separating the ice deflector from the bin door. In addition, the machine base, food zone cabinet, and bin door are foam insulated, dampening noise generated from inside the machine. Together, these smart design decisions produce a quiet ice machine.

As far as Serviceability goes, front door access to the food zone is quick and easy, and no-tools removal of main components reduces cleaning time and keeps downtime to a minimum.

With technology and features like these, Manitowoc's S-Series has set the industry standard for years to come. It produces 450 lbs. of ice per 24 hour cycle at 70°F air and 50°F water, or 380 lbs. of ice per 24 hour cycle at 90°F air and 70°F water. Operating requirements: Minimum 35°F air, 35°F water, 20 PSIG water pressure; Maximum 110°F air, 90°F water, 80 PSIG water pressure. Power consumption: 7.3 KWH/100 lbs.
