This Dutch oven is electrostatically coated with vegetable oil and cured at high temperatures to allow the oil to deeply penetrate the surface of the cast iron, giving it a seasoned, ready-to-use finish. The precision fit iron cover also has an integral ovenproof handle. The underside of the iron cover is designed with self-basting tips that allow condensing liquid to fall onto the food, retaining vitamins and moisture.
